Virginia D. "Ginny" Bradbury - August 14, 2004

Virginia D. "Ginny" Bradbury, 76, of 425 W. Eighth St., Minonk, died at 4 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 14, 2004) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. The Rev. Loretta Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Minonk Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Virginia was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Peru, a daughter of Arthur and Lynette Morris Vietinghoff. She married Emerson C. Bradbury on April 9, 1949, in Minonk. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kay McNamara and Julie Bradbury, both of Minonk; two sons, Charles (Pat) Bradbury, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and Marc (Barbara) Bradbury, Bloomington; one sister, Marge Westphal of Arizona; and one brother, Leo Vietinghoff, Round Lake. Nine grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Ginny was a member of Minonk Presbyterian Church and the National Audubon Society. She volunteered her time at the local schools, screening children's vision. Ginny and her husband, Emerson, operated the Northside Grocery Store in Minonk from 1946 to 1985. She enjoyed making crafts, baking, reading and crossword puzzles. Her crafts and baking she shared with her many friends.

She was a very loving grandmother, mother and wife. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
